Lighthouse Gin

Martinborough’s original craft gin, since 2005.

Lighthouse Gin Story

Inspired by the spectacular Cape Palliser Lighthouse, a beacon of safe harbour and craftsmanship.

The Cape Palliser Lighthouse on the southernmost tip of New Zealand’s North Island was brought over from the United Kingdom in pieces, hauled up the steep cliff and pieced together panel by panel. That sense of craftsmanship, making it the best it can be, from ingredients to distillation, to when the bottle goes out the door, is what goes into Lighthouse Gin, just like its namesake.

The first female Head Distiller in New Zealand, Rachel Hall, has been crafting Lighthouse Gin by hand since 2014 and is the custodian of a recipe perfected over many years. Lighthouse Gin is twice distilled with nine botanicals and pure water that journeys from the Remutaka Range, emerging at a spring in Palliser Bay.

The result is a remarkably clean, smooth citrusy gin that’s true to its London Dry style - gin as it should be.
